Snailo is called the world’s slowest puzzle, and it means it. There is no timer and no hurry: a small snail has a garden to explore, and you decide, leaf by leaf, how it gets around.
The goal
The snail must visit every leaf of the garden, once each, and then curl up in its flowerpot. That is the whole rule. The fun is in finding the one route that touches every leaf without ever stepping on the same one twice.
Moving the snail
Slide your finger from leaf to leaf. The snail follows and leaves a sparkling silver trail behind it, so you always see where it has already been. You can only move to a neighbouring leaf, and every leaf can be visited once.
Changed your mind?
Nothing is final. Slide back along the trail to undo your last steps, or simply touch the trail to bring the snail back to that spot and try another way. Experimenting is part of the puzzle.
New ideas every five levels
- Twigs: little walls that the snail cannot cross.
- Strawberries: eat them in order, 1, then 2, then 3, and so on.
- Mushroom bridge: the snail crosses it twice, once sideways and once up and down.
- Wet leaves: slippery! The snail slides straight on to the next leaf.
- Two snails: steer both of them, each home in its own flowerpot. Their trails use different patterns, so they are easy to tell apart.
Each idea arrives on its own, in an easy level first, so you can see what it does before it is mixed with the others.
The Trace of the Day and Zen mode
Every day there is a new Trace of the Day: the same puzzle for everybody, which you can share with friends without giving away the solution. When you just want to relax, Zen mode offers endless levels with gentle rain and no pressure.
Hints, shells and the garden
A few hints are free every day, and more are earned by playing. Along the way you collect shells (stripes, polka dots, gingerbread, galaxy, even a golden shell) and grow your own snail garden with golden fireflies. Haptics, sound and music can each be switched off, and larger text and reduced animations are available.
